Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 23, 2026

RayDay ("we", "our", or "the app") is a free good-news application designed to help you discover positive and meaningful stories from different sources. This Privacy Policy explains what information may be processed when you use RayDay and how third-party services used by the app handle information.

1. Information Collection and Use

RayDay does not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, or postal address in order to use the app.

2. News Sources and External Websites

RayDay collects news information from publicly available feeds provided by third-party good-news publishers. These sources currently include:

RayDay organizes available stories into categories and provides links to the original articles. RayDay does not control the privacy practices, content, cookies, or data-processing activities of these external websites.

When you follow a story link and visit an external website, that website may collect information according to its own privacy policy and terms. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of those websites when appropriate.

3. Internet and Network Access

RayDay requires an internet connection to retrieve current news content from its external sources. When the app communicates with external servers, standard technical information necessary for network communication may be processed by the relevant service provider or server hosting the requested content.

RayDay does not operate its own personal user database or require a user account for accessing the app's core features.

4. Advertising and Third-Party Services

RayDay is free to use and does not require a subscription or payment to access its core features. To help support the development and hosting of the app, RayDay uses Google AdMob to provide optional support advertisements.

When advertising services are used, Google AdMob may collect and process certain information from your device and the advertising request. This may include, depending on your consent choices, device and technical information such as:

Your consent choices: If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, RayDay presents a consent form on first launch using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). This allows you to make choices about how your information may be used for advertising purposes. Depending on your choices and the applicable requirements, advertisements may be personalized or non-personalized, or advertising may be provided under Google's applicable limited-ads framework.

You can review or change your advertising consent choices at any time from Settings → Manage Ad Preferences within RayDay.

RayDay does not display advertising automatically during normal use. Advertisements are presented as an optional way for users to support the continued development and hosting of the app.

For more information about how Google processes information through its advertising products, please see Google's privacy documentation:
Google Privacy Policy

For users in the United States: Depending on your state and the applicable privacy laws, you may have rights concerning the use of personal information for targeted advertising or similar purposes. Google provides information and controls concerning advertising personalization and privacy choices through its services and your device settings. RayDay does not sell your personal information directly.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

RayDay does not maintain a personal user account or a personal profile on our servers. App preferences, such as your selected display theme, may be stored locally on your device.

If you want to remove locally stored RayDay data, you can clear the application's storage through your device's operating system settings or uninstall the app.

Information that may be processed by third-party services, such as Google AdMob or external websites opened through news links, is subject to the respective third party's data retention and deletion practices.

6. Children's Privacy

RayDay does not knowingly request personal information from children. The app does not require users to create an account or provide personal details to access its core good-news features.

Because optional support advertisements are provided through Google AdMob, advertising-related processing is also subject to Google's policies and applicable age and privacy requirements.

7. Third-Party Services

RayDay relies on certain third-party services to provide its functionality. These services operate independently from RayDay and may process technical information according to their own policies.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of third-party services when you interact with them through the app.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to RayDay, the services used by the app, or applicable legal requirements. The updated policy will be published on this page, and the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be changed accordingly.
