Help Center & Common Questions

What is RayDay?

RayDay is a simple good-news app that helps you discover positive stories from different sources in one place. Instead of browsing multiple good-news websites separately, RayDay brings their stories together, organizes them into categories, and provides links to the original articles.

Where does RayDay get its news?

RayDay fetches good-news content from several dedicated positive-news sources. These currently include Good News Network, Positive News, Reasons to be Cheerful, and Good News. RayDay organizes the available stories while providing a link to the original source so you can read the complete article there.

What categories are available?

RayDay currently organizes stories into nine categories: Animals, Nature, Climate, Sustainability, Health, Education & Social, Human Rights, Digitization, and Humanity. Each category has its own color to make the different topics easier to recognize while browsing.

Can I filter the news by category?

Yes. You can browse all available good news together or filter the feed by category. This makes it easy to focus on the topics that interest you most, whether that is animals, climate, health, technology, human rights, or another category.

Does RayDay publish the original articles?

No. RayDay is a discovery and aggregation app. The app displays information about available good-news stories and provides links to the original articles. When you want to read the complete story, simply follow the link to the original publisher.

Is RayDay free?

Yes. RayDay is free to use. There is no required subscription or payment to browse the available good news and categories.

How can I support RayDay?

RayDay is free, but hosting, developing and maintaining the app takes time and resources. If you would like to support its continued development, you can choose to watch an advertisement inside the app. Watching an ad is completely optional and helps support the project.

How often is the news updated?

RayDay fetches available content from its connected good-news sources, so the stories shown in the app can change as those sources publish new articles. The availability of individual stories depends on the original publishers and their feeds.

Why are some stories not available anymore?

RayDay links to articles published by external websites. If an original publisher removes, moves, or changes an article, the link may no longer work or the story may no longer be available through RayDay. The availability and content of external articles are controlled by their respective publishers.

Does RayDay show news from different viewpoints?

RayDay is specifically focused on positive and constructive news. Its purpose is not to provide a complete overview of all current events, but to make it easier to discover encouraging developments, solutions, achievements, and stories that can often receive less attention in traditional news feeds.

What if I want to read the full article?

Just open the story in RayDay and follow the provided link. You will be taken to the original publisher's website where you can read the full article and learn more about the story.

Why does RayDay use different colors for categories?

Each category has its own color to make the feed easier to scan visually. For example, Nature uses green, Climate uses light blue, Health uses red, and Humanity uses pink. The colors help you quickly recognize the topic of a story without having to read every label.
