Terms of Service
Last updated: September 25, 2026
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the RayDay mobile application ("RayDay", "the app", or "the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using the app.
1. Use of the Application
RayDay is a good-news aggregation application designed to help users discover positive and meaningful news from multiple external sources. The app organizes stories into nine categories and provides links to the original articles published by third-party publishers.
RayDay is provided for personal and informational use. You may use the app on your personal device for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Service and applicable law.
You must not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative versions of the app, except where such activity is expressly permitted by applicable law.
2. News Content and Third-Party Sources
RayDay does not own or publish the third-party news articles linked through the app. News stories are retrieved from external sources and presented in RayDay to help users discover relevant content.
The original articles remain the property of their respective publishers and copyright holders. When you select a story in RayDay, you may be directed to the original publisher's website, where the article is subject to that publisher's own terms, privacy policy, and other applicable rules.
RayDay does not guarantee the continued availability, accuracy, completeness, or uninterrupted accessibility of third-party articles or websites. External publishers may change, remove, restrict, or otherwise modify their content at any time.
3. Content Organization and Categories
RayDay organizes available stories into nine categories: Animals, Nature, Climate, Sustainability, Health, Education & Social, Human Rights, Digitization, and Humanity.
Category assignments and the availability of stories may be generated or determined by the app based on information provided by the underlying sources. These classifications are intended to make browsing easier and should not be understood as endorsements, guarantees, or professional advice.
RayDay is intended to provide access to positive and meaningful news. The presence of a story in RayDay does not necessarily mean that RayDay or its developer endorses the views, organizations, individuals, products, or claims described in that story.
4. Availability of the Service
RayDay depends in part on external news feeds, internet connectivity, third-party websites, and other services outside the developer's direct control. As a result, some stories or categories may occasionally be unavailable, delayed, incomplete, or temporarily inaccessible.
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of RayDay at any time, including changes to available sources, categories, features, or the overall design of the application.
5. Advertising and Optional Support
RayDay is free to use and does not require users to watch advertisements in order to access its core features or browse the news feed.
Users may optionally choose to watch an advertisement through Google AdMob as a way of supporting the continued development and hosting of RayDay. Watching an advertisement is entirely voluntary and is not required to use the application.
When an advertisement is requested, Google AdMob and its related services may process certain technical information in accordance with Google's applicable policies and the user's advertising consent choices.
For more information about how Google processes information in connection with its advertising services, please refer to Google's Privacy Policy.
6. Privacy
Your use of RayDay is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains what information may be processed by RayDay and by integrated third-party services.
7. Intellectual Property
The RayDay application, including its software, design, branding, logo, visual elements, and original content created by the developer, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws and remains the property of the developer or its respective licensors.
Third-party articles, trademarks, logos, images, and other materials remain the property of their respective owners. RayDay does not claim ownership of third-party content merely because it is referenced or linked through the application.
8. Limitation of Liability
RayDay is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not guarantee that the application will always be available, error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every device or network. We also do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or continued availability of information provided by third-party news sources.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or other damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, RayDay or third-party content accessed through the application.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted under applicable law, including liability that cannot legally be excluded under German law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Germany, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Any disputes arising in connection with RayDay shall be subject to the applicable jurisdiction of the courts in Germany, subject to any mandatory consumer protection or jurisdiction rules that may apply.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, for example when RayDay introduces new features, changes its services, or when legal requirements change. Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
